1. Can you clarify what options the Subscription includes?

Buying a Subscription to Stimulsoft tools, you get - a developer license, standalone and online report designer license, technical support, and free access to minor and major releases. The developer license allows you to use the software in your projects. The standalone and online report designer license enables you to design reports and/or dashboards using the desktop and Cloud designer. The Subscription includes tech support and free access to minor and major releases for one year from the date of purchase.

2. Can you help me choose the Subscription that suits me best?

The main difference between Subscriptions is how many developers of your company will work with our embedded reporting tool in developing your application. You should buy the Subscription per developer seats. A build server (a centralized, stable, and reliable environment for building development projects) also requires a Subscription.

Four types of Subscriptions are available:

  • Single
    Allows you to use our product for one developer; A developer is a person who has access to Stimulsoft assemblies and scripts and uses them in application development. Also, a developer is a person who creates reports in a standalone (desktop) designer or online designer and requires technical support from the Stimulsoft tech team. The developer may install two copies of the standalone (desktop) designer.
  • Team
    Allows you to use our product for up to 4 (four) developers;

  • Site
    Allows you to use our product for an unlimited number of developers at a single physical address (office location - the place and site where the office of an organization is situated). For example, if the company is located in two or more buildings standing around, separate licenses are required correspondingly for developers in these buildings;

  • WorldWide
    Allows you to use our product for an unlimited number of developers at unlimited locations (everywhere in the world).

3. Do we need to buy separate subscriptions for every customer that uses our product?

Using our product embedded it your applications does not require additional subscriptions for your clients (runtime royalty-free).

4. Is your Subscription per company or per named user?

Our Subscription is per company, not per named user. We understand that the members of your development team may change over time, and you may transfer the licenses between developers within your company.

5. Do I need to renew a Subscription each year?

When your Subscription is about to end, we send you a notification email with a proposal to renew it. You do not have obligations to renew the Subscription, but if you do not do this, you will not be able to get timely technical support and new versions with fixes and updates. If you have a problem that requires a fix but do not have a current subscription, you will have to renew before you can benefit from the fix.

6. Will the software stop working after the Subscription expires?

The license is perpetual. You may keep using the product versions released before expiration, and they will never stop working.

7. If I renew my Subscription late, does this alter my yearly expiry date, or do I keep my original purchase date as the expiry date?

You may renew the Subscription at any time, even 1-2 or more years later. If you renew later than the Subscription expires, it starts from the renewal date.

For example, you purchased the Subscription on October 08, 2022. It will expire on October 08, 2023. You may renew it at any time. If you renew the Subscription on October 01, 2023, it starts on October 08, 2023 and ends on October 08, 2024. If you renew the Subscription, say on October 20, 2023, your new Subscription starts on October 20, 2023 and ends on October 20, 2024.

8. Can I get a discount?

We offer academic and competitive discounts. We also offer discounts when you purchase several Subscriptions, if you are a startup, or if you just wrote us a letter and convincingly explained why we should provide it. Please get in touch with our sales manager in this regard.

9. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards, wire transfer, purchase order, PayPal, American Express, Boleto, and many other specific options available in your country.

10. Can you supply a proforma invoice?

11. How do I purchase your product?

It is very simple. You can do this in our Online Store. Select the product you need and the Subscription type by clicking the price. Stimulsoft is under contracts with PayPro Global Inc. and Verifone (former 2Checkout) to process online orders and collect payments.

12. We want to place an order on your website, but we are facing issues. The problem is that there is a VAT amount added to the order. The order is placed in a foreign country, so we do not have to pay VAT.

The VAT is waived if you enter a valid VAT ID during the order process. If they do not, the local VAT rate is charged. The best solution would be to place the new order and be sure to enter a valid tax ID.

13. How can I get the license?

You must use an activation code or a license key file to activate Stimulsoft products. You should click the How to Activate button from your account, copy the activation code or download the file license.key and apply them following the detailed instructions right under the activation option. You must run this code once when you start your application or service. To activate the desktop report designer, you should either sign in to the designer or put the file license.key in the directory where the designer is installed. 14. Is the Subscription renewal cost less than the initial price?

The renewal price of an active (valid) Subscription and an expired one is the same. You may renew it only for 45% of the current cost of the product.

15. How do I update my Subscription?

You may do the renewal from your company account. If you bought the product from one of our resellers, you might contact them when you need to renew your Subscription. They will help you purchase a new subscription.

16. How do I upgrade my Subscription without source code to the Subscription with source code?

The upgrade price is the difference between the full prices of the Subscription with source code and without.

For example, you have a Subscription for one (Single) developer (the Subscription price is 799.95 USD). You wish to add source code to your Subscription (the full price is 1,349.95 USD). 17. Recently, we purchased your product and now changed the company name. How can we transfer our Subscription to the new one?

18. Is it possible for me to evaluate your products before purchasing them? Do you provide a trial license key?

Our software is available for evaluation. You may find the latest version on the Downloads page. The trial version includes all the functionality of the full version. It can only be used for a specified number of days after installation (30 days) and may have some other restrictions (the Trial watermark on the report page is one of them). We recommend developers download and try our products before purchasing to ensure they meet their requirements. The trial license key is not required.

19. Do you provide technical support when evaluating your products?

You can upgrade your Single Subscription to the Team as well as the Single to Site and the Team to Site etc. In this case, the upgrade price is the difference between the full prices of the Subscriptions.

For example, you have a Single Subscription for 799.95 USD. You wish to upgrade it to the Team Subscription. In this case, the price of upgrade is 2,049.95 - 799.95 = 1,250.00 USD. 21. What types of support do you offer?

We provide a developer with support services related to our reporting tools. The use of support services is governed by the Stimulsoft policies and programs described in the user manual, "online" documentation, and/or other materials. You will receive, at no additional charge, all minor (minor builds which contain product fixes and updates) and major versions of Stimulsoft's products by logging in to your account, all of which can be used live in production. You will receive technical support from our technical team, and our response time will be 24 hours, depending on the complexity of the issue. Support on holidays may be provided upon request.
