Attention!

An important change has been made to the operation of Stimulsoft products for creating dashboards: a new provider for online maps - OpenStreetMap - is now available.

What was the issue?

Stimulsoft Dashboards include an Online Maps element that allows you to display geographic objects on a map in real time (learn more about the capabilities of online maps here). Until now, our analytical tools have traditionally used Bing Maps as the default online map provider.

Bing Search API to be discontinued

Microsoft recently announced that the Bing Search APIs will be discontinued on August 11, 2025. After this date, all existing instances of the Bing Search APIs will be fully decommissioned. Only users with a paid API key will be able to use Bing Maps, and this key must be specified in the map properties.

How did we fix this?

In response to this change, we have added OpenStreetMap as a new online map provider in Stimulsoft products. Starting with version 2025.3.1, you can now select OpenStreetMap as the provider when working with online maps in dashboards. This option is available in the element editor. See the picture below.
