You can register a fully custom data source that supplies schema and data from your own code.

Preparing the data. Read or create the data source, register it in the report dictionary, synchronize the schema, and render with the supplied records.

StiCustomDatabase.registerCustomDatabase defines a service whose process callback answers the TestConnection, RetrieveSchema and RetrieveData commands, returning the data and column types your application provides.
