We are proud to announce this year first release of Stimulsoft Reports.Fx product line version 2011.1. Stimulsoft Reports.Fx consists of Stimulsoft Reports.Fx for Flex and Stimulsoft Reports.Fx for PHP. Four months of hard work were not in vain. The reporting tool is now much better. Great many new components, properties are added, lots of fixes are done. Take look at the most important enhancements.
Export to TXT Format
In the new version we have added a function to save a report as a text file. TXT is a text file that consists of a sequence of characters. They are grouped into rows. Text file can contain both formatted and unformatted text.
Ability to Add Its Own Text and URL in About Dialog
The ability to place its own text and a URL link in the About dialog. Now it is possible to put company information directly in the designer and report viewer.
Automatic Report Saving
A function to automatically save the report is implemented. It allows invoking an event of saving after a defined period of time.
New Components are Added
The following components are added: Sub-Report, Text in Cells, Check Box. They can significantly expand the opportunities of the reports. The Sub-Report is a component of the report, which can be placed on the band, page, panel, or on any other component of the report, which can be as a container for sub-report.
The Text in Cells component is used for displaying text in the cells. It is most commonly used for creating forms.
The Check Box component is designed to display the component to enable/disable any of the parameters.
Wizards
Three Report Wizards, which can significantly simplify the process of creating new reports, are added. The following Report Wizards are: Standard Report, Master-Detail Report, Label Report. The Standard Report wizard is used to create reports as lists. The Master-Detail Report wizard is used for designing Master-Detail reports. The Label Report wizard is effective in building reports with labels.
Data Formatting
Date, time, number, currency formatting is one of the important functions of the report generator. In the new version they are available for use. They can be available using the Ribbon Toolbar as well as using the Text Format property in the Properties pane of a text component.
Support of HTML Tags in Exports
In the new version we have added the ability to export the text, to which HTML formatting is applied.
Support of Images of BMP Format
Starting from this version one can fully use Bitmap images in reports. All basic versions of this format are supported.
