Stimulsoft Reports.Net 2007.1 is released

Our product Stimulsoft Reports.Net is becoming more and more poweful. In our new release we add new properties, realize new functionality, and, on the whole, make some steps in the product development to simplify work of our customers and, simultaneously, increase capabilty of a report generator.

Please, read about some significant changes realized in this version:

New in Report Designer
  • New tab page in the report designer is available - Html Preview.
  • New report Master-Detail wizard.
  • New option Direction is added to the Label Wizard.
  • Now in Conditions of each component you can specify more than one criteria for each conditions.
  • New context menu item is added to the StiReport component designer - 'Save Report to File' and 'Load Report from File'.
  • New option is added to the report designer - Auto Save report to C# of Vb.Net file.
  • New command to duplicate a style in the styles editor is available.
  • Now in report tree you can remove components with the delete key.
  • Now in report tree you can multi select components with control or shift keys.
  • New menu item 'Properties' in context menu of the Report Dictionary.

New Components
  • New Hierarchical Band component. This band can be used to output hierarchical data.
  • New Overlay Band component. This band can be used to output watermarks.
  • New Text in Cells component.
  • New ListView dialog control.
  • New TreeView dialog control.

New localizations
  • Localization to Chinese Simplified is added.
  • Localization to Chinese Traditional is added.
  • Localization to Slovak is added.
  • Localization to Belarusian is added.

Changes in Exports of Reports
  • Support of Right to Left of exports to Rtf, Excel, Html is added.
  • Now rotated text exported to html as image.
  • Now all exports support Gradient, Glare and Hatch brushes.
  • Now export to TIFF files support multi-pages files.
  • Now export to Pdf supports transparency.
  • New property added to the Pdf export - Use Unicode.
  • Now export to Pdf supports Watermark.
  • Now export to Pdf supports text margins.
  • New Export Page Breaks option is added to the Excel export.
  • New Use One Page Header and Footer option is added to the Excel export.
  • New Export Each Page to Sheet option is added to the Excel export.
  • New Export Data Only option is added to the Excel export.
  • New ExcelSheet option in added to a page. Now you can specify excel sheet for each report page.
  • Now ExcelValue property expression supports percentage values.
  • Now ExcelValue property expression supports currency values.
  • Now ExcelValue property works together with the HideZeros property.

Changes in Charts
  • Wizard for creating Charts is added.
  • New ShowEdgeValues property is added to the XAxis.
  • New ShowLabels property is added to each series type.
  • New ShowOnZeroValues property is added to series labels.
  • New BottomToTop direction is added to the Chart.Legend.Direction property.
  • New MarkerVisible property is added to the Chart.SeriesLabels.
  • New MarkerSize property is added to the Chart.SeriesLabels.
  • New MarkerAlignment property is added to the Chart.SeriesLabels.
  • New Step property is added to the Chart.Area.XAxis.Ticks.
  • New Step property is added to the Chart.Area.YAxis.Ticks.
  • New Format property is added to each series in Charts.
  • New MinorCount property is added to the Chart.Area.GridLinesHor.
  • New MinorCount property is added to the Chart.Area.GridLinesVert.
  • New PointAtCenter property is added to the SteppedLine and SteppedArea series.

Changes in Cross-Tabs
  • New PrintIfEmpty property is added to the Cross-Tab component.
  • New Wrap property is added to the CrossTab.
  • New WrapGap property is added to the CrossTab component.
  • New ability - direction of summary fields is added to Cross-Tab component.
  • New ComponentStyle property is added to all the type of cells of Cross-Tab component.

Changes in Web Reports
  • New ReportExport event is added to the StiWebViewer.
  • New ExcelPageBreaks property is added to the StiWebViewer.
  • New CsvCharSet property is added to the StiWebViewer.
  • New CsvSeparator property is added to the StiWebViewer.
  • New ToolbarAlignment property is added to the StiWebViewer.
  • New RenderMode property is added to the StiWebViewer.
  • New ContentAlignment property to the StiWebViewer.

New in Data Processing
  • Now you can use dBase files as data sources.
  • Now you can use the VistaDb data adapter.
  • New ability to format values with formatting string from variables and data sources.

New in Report Engine
  • New set of functions for calculation of totals in events, scripts and expressions. Following lines shows how functions can be called: Totals.Sum(YourDataSource, expression), Totals.Sum(YourDataBand, expression). Functions can be passed as the DataBand and GroupHeaderBand argument.
  • Two new aggregate functions - MinDate and MaxDate is available.
  • New NumberOfCopies property is added to the page.
  • New CanBreak property is added to the FooterBand.
  • New PrintAtBottom property is added to the ReportSummaryBand.
  • CanGrow and CanShrink properties are available for the Container with bands.
  • New mode of showing the report dialogs is available. Now dialogs can be shown in the Window of Preview. This mode is enabled when setting the form of the StartMode property in StiFormStartMode.OnPreview.
  • New Double style of border is available.

New in Dot-Matrix mode
  • The PreviewMode property of a report now can have the DotMatrix value
  • Now you can predefine encoding for the Dot-Matrix mode in the StiOptions.Preview.DotMatrixWindow.DefaultEncodings static property.
  • New Open button is available in the dot-matrix preview mode.
